If only you knew
how I felt
then you wouldn’t have kissed someone else,

I said it was alright,
but then I realized you are not that bright.

I only wanted you to myself,
but you craved someone else.

I told you I loved you,
you only took advantage of me but
at least you loved who I used to be.

You think you know how I feel…
I’ll let you know when I’m healed.

Note about this column: AUSTEN & BAULDAIRE: The mix of two forms of art, poetry and visual art, come together in a mix of classical poems with modern twists done by your very own ARTS Academy peers. Every week we come out with a new poem, and a new piece of art to go with it, and you yourself can submit to be featured on this student forum sight. To submit a poem, or a work of art to be matched to a poem, you can drop them off in a specialized drop box outside room 210 in the Media wing, or to get it on quicker, email Mrs. Murray ( to have it sent directly. We can’t wait to see what you’ve done, and we can’t wait to see your submissions!!
